Our Projects

Terra Power Solutions -Represented by RECSA -developed 8 Utility scale wind projects in the Eastern Cape as originators and Developers. the projects were ready and have been submitted in the REIPPPP since the first round. Most of the projects were bought by larger international companies for the devlopment phases. eg: Golden Valley Phase I and Phase II.

Other projects still in preparation are: Middleton, Nanagha Hills, Makanaone, Poortjie Wes( Western Cape).

Terra Solar Energy -Represented by RECSA - developed a number of small projects for the Small IPP bid which never materialised. There is a portfolio of Projects in and around the Noupoort area in the Northern Cape which are now owned by different developers. Terra Solar Energy is still supporting these projects to be built with either Private PPAs or the REIPPPP future phases. eg: Klip Gat( 75MW), Naauwpoort( 75MW), 12 other projects between 10 and 20 MWp.

Mini/Micro grids

Taking into account the See4all criteria of energy usage we design system from 300w solar home systems to 140MW utility scale projects.
Ensuring that individual systems in villages are built to standards which are grid compatible in the future, paves the way for the individual systems on small roof tops to be able to be connected via mini or micro-grids – depending on the size, which allows customers to share the power production depending on their individual activities of that particular day.

With smart meters it is easy to work out who produced power and who consumed the power and therefore who pays and who gets paid.

Storage

Battery storage is still the dominant technology for storing electricity. New types of batteries are becoming commercially available which makes it economically viable to develop and design systems which allow for storage of electricity to be used when either the sun is not shining or the wind is not blowing.

CO2 reduction

Our aim is to partner with our client to allow them to be independent in terms of their electricity usage at a reasonable cost. This strategy allows the client to become independent of the utility and contribute toward saving the production of CO2 and other Greenhouse gases.

Circular Economy

Once a client is independent from a utility in terms of its electricity consumption, the customers are able to support themselves and prosper according to the locally available resources. This allows local business to thrive and the improvement of the quality of life for all involved.
